David has over 16 years' experience of structured, project and asset financing from a lead arranging and equity perspective and has worked with numerous clients across Europe, Middle East and Africa. He also has experience in Corporate Banking in the UK and off-shore.
He joined MUFG in August 2011 from SITA UK where he was an Infrastructure Development Director for 2 ½ years. At SITA he had responsibility for raising equity/debt for the company’s PPP/PFI/merchant schemes as well as financing non concession based transactions.
Prior to this, he was a Senior Director in Infrastructure Finance for The Royal Bank of Scotland where he worked across all sectors including waste, transportation, water, accommodation, leisure and education.
MUFG is a leading bank in the Project Finance market, with a global footprint and an experienced London-based team offering lending and advisory services to clients bidding on transactions in the EMEA region. Over the past few years the team has made been involved in a number of transactions across a variety of infrastructure sectors, including greenfield PPPs, corporate/utility financings and refinancings, including various landmark projects, such as the two Intercity Express Programme transactions, Thameslink and the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route project in Scotland.
He is a former scratch golfer, a runner up in the British Youths Championship and twice captain of Scotland’s under 22 team. He has restored Pitcullo castle and several Georgian houses and has a wide interest in Scottish paintings, the applied and decorative arts, the built heritage and related traditional crafts, Ferrari cars, history and travel.
