Lanarkshire DBFM school signs

A school in North Lanarkshire has reached financial close under the Hub South West programme.

The deal for Greenfaulds High School has been signed with contractor Galliford Try, who will design, build, finance and maintain (DBFM) a new school, including playing fields, synthetic pitches, and car park.

Nord LB is providing £31.1m of senior debt on the deal, which has a 31-month construction period and 25 years of operation.

The announcement comes after Hub East Central Scotland agreed a deal just before Christmas for the Levenmouth High School DBFM scheme. That project saw Aviva providing £39m of debt with Bam Construction delivering the new building.
